Yesterday we ran a couple of tours in the evening, hoping to pick up some folk out for a stroll or maybe to catch people after work.
Only one person had prebooked for the second tour so there was a distinct possibility that no one would turn up for the 4.30 session.
However four lovely ladies turned up quite by chance – including one who is 85. Undaunted by the steps and the need to wear protective gear our elderly visitor seemed to have a smashing time even though she needed a little help getting onto and off the roof.
This is a salutory lesson that even people who need a little bit of help with the tricky parts of the stairs can enjoy a visit to our tower – so we hope to see more people like her soon.
