After many, many months of negotiations, we finally got the keys to the tower in early December. This is both scary and immensely satisfying.
A quick visit to the tower revealed that a LOT of work would be required to remove all the stuff that had accumulated over the years.
December’s a spectacularly bad time to try and find time to volunteer for anything, so we decided to book our first clearance working party for the weekend of 18th/19th January.
Eastbourne Council promised they’d assist with the removal of the rubbish we got out of the tower and a couple of lovely folk arranged a skip and some easy parking for us.
Our volunteers are now lined up and good to go in the New Year. 2014 should be a good year for Tower 73, we think.
