As part of our work to raise the profile of, and preserve the Tower for future generations, in 2016 the Wish Tower Friends completed a Heritage Lottery funded project to research the Tower and produce a community-led Conservation & Management Plan (CMP).
The purpose of the plan is to act as a reference document for any party concerned with the Tower’s future or intending to perform physical works. It incorprates both a structural and an architectural survey and attempts to identify the nature and cost of future repairs as well as architectural features of historical interest and significance. An update to the CMP is expected in early 2024.
